The China Hong Kong Israel Technology Cooperation and Promotion Center

 

 

On 20 January 2005, The "China Hong Kong Israel Technology Cooperation and Promotion Center" was established.

 

The Center is a non-government, not-for-profit organization with the principal objective to promote technology and business cooperation among companies in China, Hong Kong and Israel. The Center will provide a platform to foster their interactions.

 

The China HK Israel Center will organize various activities in China, HK and Israel for promoting technology and business cooperation. The initiative of the Center could create immense opportunities for cooperation.

 

The Center will function on event/activity basis, forming between 3-5 events/activities per year. Activities can comprise of delegations, visits to China/HK/Israel, one on one meetings and others.

 

Companies that are interested to participate in the activities of the Center should sign up as members of the Center; there will be no sign up fee for members. Fees might be requested per delegation or project.

The agreement on the formation of the Center was signed by Mr. Jonathan K. S. Choi, President of Hong Kong-based Sun Wah Group and the Chairman of the Center, and Mr. Yair Ofek, Deputy Director General of the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute, signing on behalf of Mr Shragga Brosh, the Chairman of the Institute.  The Hon. Ehud Olmert, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Industry, Trade and Labor of the State of Israel, officiated at the signing ceremony on 20 January 2005.  Also witnessing were Mr Henry Tang, Financial Secretary of Hong Kong, Mr Wu Hailong, Deputy Commissioner of the Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC in Hong Kong, Consul General Mr Eli Avidar, Director General of the Ministry of Science and officials from Israel's Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labour.
